Option #1 seems wonderful! My kids (15 mos and 3 yrs) love watching the boats, they wave and laugh..
Or if the riverfront is unavailable, maybe they can buy a parcel in the Lakeshore East development?
But I have not heard of any restrictions on riverfront development, Friends of the River would probably welcome it as long as pedestrians can still get by..
Suburbanites would love it as they would actually be seeing Chicago instead of walls in an underground bunker (and being ferried back and forth on lower levels...)
This would be a wonderful development for Chicago!
