 600 bid farewell to Mohammed
September 14th, 2008 05:00 AM - In spite of the pouring rain, more than 600 people of different races and creeds gathered at the UIC Forum on Saturday to pay a final tribute to Imam Warith Deen Mohammed. The longtime leader of the American Society of Muslims and son of the late Nation of Islam founder Elijah Muhammad died Tuesday in his Markham home, and he was buried Thursday. He was 74.
