 Bank teller helps herself to customer's money
June 24th, 2008 05:00 AM - Jessie McDonald and her husband, Jim "Mac" McDonald, worked hard and saved hard during their 61 years of marriage. Together, the couple -- who never had children -- saved $400,000, placing the cash at Chase Bank. But, according to court papers filed recently by the Cook County public guardian's office, a bank teller took advantage of Jessie McDonald's failing mind to scam her of most of that savings. So far, the bank has yet to give McDonald the money back.
