Burger King sellers nix $1 double cheeseburger

July 9th, 2009 06:19 PM - (Crain’s) — Burger King Holdings Inc. franchisees have rejected the company’s proposal to temporarily sell a double cheeseburger for $1, roughly half the current price.

The plan failed to garner enough votes from franchisees, according to a memo obtained Thursday by Dow Jones Newswires.
