From Richard Ward --
1. During the even-numbered months, the Chicago Police CAPS BEAT 124 team is experimenting with rotating meetings between different residential buildings. Tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7pm, the officers that patrol our New Eastside neighborhood will be at 400 E. Randolph (in the 7th floor meeting room). Let's remind them that 4 persons are still living on Middle Randolph (adjacent to 155 Harbor), and that a security camera at Lower Randolph and Lower Harbor is even more necessary, now that the excessive parking rates have left the spaces nearly abandoned. We know that crime is low in this area, but our comfort level as a pedestrian is also lower with nearly no activity...and that is our only curent substitute for the promised Pedway completion.
2. Our neighborhood electronic bulletin board is a free way to hep advertise the sale or rental of your condominium, or to find a service provider familiar with our neighborhood. Even when using a broker, you should be sure that your condo is also advertised on the free neighborhood bulletin board at

3. We are nearing 150,000 page visits to our well-used 10-year old neighborhood website...and also nearing 1000 addresses on this neighborhod email notificatin list. We still need help, especially is the newer buildings, to increase our ability to communicate with many additional residents. If your friends still wonder where you get new neighborhood information, help them add their email address at

Hope you are having a great summer.....Richard
