| Daley defends system of aldermanic zoning decisions Aldermen should decide what is built in wards, mayor says "Mayor Richard Daley on Monday defended the Chicago tradition that allows aldermen to dictate the fate of development in their wards, backing a status quo in which the City Council routinely ignores the recommendations of planners." ...unless, one of his bosum buddies, like Gigi Pritzker wants something else, of course! Amazing how this man can talk out of both sides of his mouth... http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/l...,7338902.story

Rumor is Daley and the Chicago Children's Museum will try to bring the proposal before Planning Commission in March.. For the CCM's sake I hope it dies there and they can move forward with other plans. They wasted too much time already. They must know it's doomed... but I guess the board needs closure so they can shake up the staff and start fresh. Eric |
