Deere jumps on news of plant growth

August 28th, 2008 10:26 AM - (AP) — Shares of Deere & Co. rose nearly 4 percent Thursday following two announcements by the agricultural equipment maker that it will invest nearly $180 million to expand plants in the United States and Brazil.

Shares of Deere closed at $71.01, up $3.05, or 4.5 percent, on Thursday.
