| The city plans to sell advertising on municipal property Orlando Jones, a lobbyist, consultant and long-time fixture in Chicago politics, was found dead on a beach in Michigan on September 12th. The cause was apparently a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The city of Chicago has signed an $8.7m contract with Toyota to buy hundreds of hybrid cars for the city's fleet. In another move to make the city greener, Mr Daley is considering a scheme to make as many as 1,500 rental bikes available. http://www.economist.com/cities/brie...fm?city_id=CHI No mention of the Children's Museum Relocation! Maybe they know the biggest headlines are yet to come. Eric |
