Default Economist's Chicago City Briefing - Time to change

From this month's Chicago City Briefing in the Economist -

Economist.com - Cities Guide

Chicago's Police Department Needs to be Reformed.

The City of Chicago's Budget Battle.

Chicago's Public Schools Continue to Rank Near the Bottom.

Drew Peterson of Bolingbrook Continues to Make the News - Now Worldwide.

And my favorite --

Metra will be raising it's fares 10% for each of the next three years, the first fare hike starting in Feb.

I ride the Metra several times a week, but I'm not complaining, either about the current level of service or the fare hike. It's a great value IMHO unless they raise fares more than several times the current level, even then it might be a toss-up vs. commuting via car.

Thats outragous, I mean think how many people ride the metro a day.
Surly they rake in enough money to make there profits big time!
Maybe they realise that the metro is really getting popular and they thing they can sneak the prices up.

Oh well lets hope they invest in some new trains!
