the GALA OPENING * URBAN * INDUSTRIAL * CHICAGO * a Photography Exhibit by Cid Nowosad.

This collection of black & white and color images looks straight into Chicago through the eyes of a relative newcomer and prods its way into the dark and quickly avoided urban alley, peeks around a dimly lit stairwell at midnight, captures striking views between shafts of steel and rivets, and conveys normally unremarkable scenery as indulgent-urban-imagery that will one day be but a photographic memory. It also begins to explore Chicago's unforgiving harsh industrial backside daringly intertwined with beauty & energy and history & timelessness newly co-existing, perhaps even encroaching right before our contemporary eyes.
