 Grant to church spurs suit

A fire-ravaged Bronzeville church that has been waiting two years for a $1 million state payout -- promised by Gov. Blagojevich in the heat of his re-election bid -- may have to wait even longer. That's because atheist activist Rob Sherman filed suit in a Downstate court, saying the grant deal with Pilgrim Baptist Church violates the constitutional separation between church and state.
