 Halted soccer field work to resume The Chicago Park District on Wednesday brushed aside an offer from a community group to pay for restoration of a partially completed soccer field in Lincoln Park to its original meadow-like state -- instead voting to finish building the controversial artificial-turf facility adjacent to the Latin School at the south end of the park.
