4:00 AM, Jan 4, 2008 - At first, Madeline Wroblewski didn't look particularly interested in taking her oath as an American citizen. The 3-year-old Guatemala native raised her right hand but soon grew bored, resting her palm on a rosy cheek as her mom, Kelly Wroblewski, held her on her hip. But when Madeline heard her name, she took a bold step. Literally. "Yes, I can!" Madeline defiantly told her mom, choosing to walk across the stage alone to receive her certificate confirming her U.S. citizenship Thursday.
