Kochi has an edge Kochi Real Estate and property market is now on boom and is gaining new heights mainly because it boasts of a culture which is quite urbanized and modern. Majority of the residing population herein are Christians thus; you’ll find the buildings and real estate in Kochi are designed exactly like in the Christian era. Since Kochi got into the development phase array of buildings popped up and so as the builders. It won’t be wrong to say that real estate in Kochi is going full places and is attracting people from around the world.
Kochi holds an edge over big cities in the IT sector on account of the low attrition rate. In Kochi the attrition rate was less than 10 per cent it was well above 50 per cent in big cities. We can attribute this to the increased sense of loyalty among employees here. The advantage Kochi has culturally as well as in terms of sense of loyalty might be owing to the high literacy rate and the continuous educational programmes. Besides the population is fantastic and it’s an attractive place to work and live. Companies would be encouraged to come to Kochi considering and the world-class infrastructure the city provides.
Talking about the challenges posed by SmartCity to the future prospects of Infopark, there was no need to look it from the point of view of competition. It is not like whether the SmartCity or the Infopark was the better one. The real game is can we work in partnership and in a comfortable synergic fashion. Infopark has a lot to offer to SmartCity since it had been in the field for sometime. We got to look as it as a win-win situation. The success of both Infopark and SmartCity means success for Kochi. Though Kochi is a relatively new player in the IT field, it has all the basic requirements to make it big in this sector. The high bandwidth that the city enjoys on account of its optical fiber cable connectivity is one of the city’s greatest advantages. There is a need to improve the skill levels of prospective employees. The nature of work that has kept coming in over the last 15 years has changed. Basic data entry work and back office operations had been replaced by cutting edge works. Kochi should focus on higher skill levels and aim at high revenue generating works. Once the quality of basic education improved the role of finishing schools would become negligible. |
