For more than 40 years, the trees along North Michigan Avenue have been illuminated to signal the official start of the holiday season in Chicago. Witness the magical lighting of more than one million lights along North Michigan Avenue from Oak Street to Wacker Drive, culminating in a magnificent fireworks show over the Chicago River. After you enjoy the day's activities, return to The Magnificent Mile to create more holiday memories! This day of family fun is detailed below.
11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Join us at the Harris Stage for exciting performances featuring KT Tunstall and Sister Hazel presented by 101.9fm THE MIX, Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players, Ralph's World and Radio Disney presents Corbin Bleu! 190 North's Lou Canellis and ComedySportz® will be your hosts throughout the day!

5:20 p.m. Help WLS 890 AM break the world record for the largest holiday carol. Join us in the Caroling Zone, Illinois to Ohio Street on North Michigan Avenue to beat the existing Guinness record!
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Mickey Mouse, as master of ceremonies, leads the illumination of more than one million lights in The Magnificent Mile district to officially start the holiday season in Chicago!
