September 13th, 2008 05:00 AM - A CTA bus driver has been relieved of her duties as the CTA and police investigate a rider's claim that the driver pulled a knife on him Friday morning on the Near South Side, authorities say. Brian Harroun, 45, of Orland Park, said the incident on the southbound No. 1 Indiana/Hyde Park bus began with a dispute over his CTA card and ended with the driver showing a knife with a 5-inch blade and saying, "I dare you to do something." A Chicago Police sergeant said Harroun was acting in a "belligerent" way in the station as he filled out a police report. Click here to read the article... |
