New kiosks will collect ticket, bill payments
4:00 AM, Dec 3, 2007 - Mayor Daley is not only raising taxes, fines and fees by $276.5 million. He's making it easier to take your money. Fourteen payment kiosks that look a lot like ATM machines have been installed across the city to pave the way for Chicagoans to pay their parking tickets, water bills and red-light tickets without waiting in line. Three more kiosks are on the way. Ultimately, they'll accept payment for all city fines, fees and bills. The kiosks were quietly installed four months ago.
