Pernod pays Fortune to end deal

August 28th, 2008 05:58 PM - (Reuters) — Pernod Ricard S.A. will pay Fortune Brands Inc. $230 million in cash to end a joint distribution venture in the United States early.
Under the agreement, Fortune Brands said on Thursday it will also buy Cruzan Rum, a premium brand, from Pernod Ricard.
