Russian Tea Time
I have a friend visiting from NY and we decided to go to the Russian Tea Time for Lunch. I have not been there for a while, when we got there, at 12:00 fortunately we found a seat at the back, it was quite crowded already. Please do not except to get a big space while eating. I noticed the people sat next to us are having some red soup, I remembered that was my favorite, we found it on the menu: Hot Ukrainian Borscht. It has cabbage and tomato and potatos. very delicious, since I do not feel well these days with my throat, this is such a treat for me. I have ordered Classic Stuffed Cabbage Golubts Two cabbage rolls stuffed with a traditional filling ‑ chopped beef and chicken, carrots, sautéed onions, touch of nutmeg and rice in tomato sauce. Served with kasha, carrot salad and sour cream…16.95 and my friend has ordered: Chicken Kebob Shashlik In Uzbekistan, there is a custom of special ritual-like preparation of marinades and cooking particularly with shashliks and rice pilaf. This tradition is continued with these white meat Kabobs. They are marinated then grilled to perfection. Served on a bed of rice, fresh onions, tomato sauce and tossed greens… 17.95 We both had a hearty and delicious lunch, the price is a little high, $27 each with tip and everything, no drinks. But it worth it. Please visit Welcome to Russian Tea Time for more details. |
