 Severe weather hits Chicago area
September 13th, 2008 05:00 AM - The Chicago area was battered overnight with heavy rainfall as thunderstorms are expected to continue to unleash heavy rainfall on the weekend, prompting a flash flood warning. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning that remains an effect until 10:30 a.m. Saturday for La Salle, Northwestern Will, Kendall, Northwestern Grundy, Lee, Extreme Western DuPage, DeKalb, Kane, Extreme Northwestern Cook, Eastern Ogle, Southern Boone, McHenry and Southeastern Winnebago counties.
