19 new schools proposed for Chicago

Tue, 09 Oct 2007 15:24:00 EST - (Crain's) -- Chicago Public Schools CEO Arne Duncan Tuesday proposed 19 new schools, including six charter schools, that would open next year and in 2009.
Most of the new schools would be on the South and West sides, but all the locations have not been determined, a CPS spokesman said.

Fall of 2008.

I wonder if the Lakeshore East school is still on the drawing board since the Mayor thinks the neighborhood is made up of bigots. Natarus kept mentioning Lakeshore East and the reconstruction of Ogden School were number one priorities. :(
