Torch relay snuffed in Paris, faces San Francisco protest

I'd heard that in years past when the Olympics were in Italy, some locals who were protesting a development actually managed to kidnap the torch briefly.. maybe that's why they started keeping the "official" flame on board the safety of the airplane.
