Hello all,

I just found out that i am being transferred to Chicago, from Memphis. I have absolutely no knowledge of the city and am hoping that someone could point me in the right direction as to where good living locations are. I am single, late 20s. and would like to live somewhere with a social scene. I have a well paying job and am willing to pay a little more for a location that is enjoyable. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have two recommendations for you. You could try river north, which is somewhat dense with restaurants, bars, movie theaters. We lived in a place a few years ago with at least 30 restaurants within a block :21v:

The other one is Lakeshore East / New Eastside, which is right by the lake, close to the grand park for summer night music, dance classes, also it is next to the lake, if you like outdoor activities, you could ride bikes, rollerblades, jogging or play beach volleyball, there is a long trail by the lake front. :27w:

I have been living in the city for several years and lived in both of these two neighborhoods. Currently I just got my real estate license, so let me know if you would like to see some condos for rent. One bedroom starts around $1,400 per month.
