Man, it's going to be a long 10 years if Olympic organizers come into the city expecting us to throw fist fulls of money at whatever they think needs renovating, just to keep the Olympics.

I do not remember one city that hasn't said they lost a bundle hosting the Olympics. Gee what an honor.

The city spends money hosting the Olympics, but gains a lot in terms of prestige... and the public officials go to lots of parties and have excuses to throw money around. Anyway I appreciate people have different motivations, I'd like to see it come to Chicago because I've never been to the Olympics and I think it would be a lot of fun to see the events :eek2:
