Ice Skating at Daley Bi

Ice Skating at Daley Bi is tentatively scheduled for this Saturday (November 24th)! subject to weather. I stopped by there last night and one of the employees said they are planning on opening it for skating on Saturday. It looked like it's all set up, they just need some colder weather.

I don't know about the tree lighting.. what tree, where?

This past weekend was the Mag Mile Lights Festival when most of the trees downtown became lit.

I wasn't aware all there were three Ponce's in Chicago media. I guess I don't watch much local news.

Very cool! I don't see anybody out there, what time is that?

We saw the tree lighting and fireworks. I only walked around a little bit due to the crowd just before the lighting, but the shops / stalls have some pretty amazing ornaments, there was one shaped like the Bean for $40.

Later in the evening, I saw the line at Millenium Park for skate rental was an hour long.. there were about 30 people skating at Daley Bi and no line. Guess where we'll be skating this winter :-)

I love chicago at Christmas!

I took that around 8pm, it was very busy out there, I just happen to snap it with nobody walking by at the time. I have many more, but i'm working on a Christmas thread that I'll post in a week or two.

Lynn Becker posted some shots of the tree's construction - yes Construction or assembly.. it is actually dozens of trees. I thought it looked a little too perfect!
