Please Let me know if you have any ideas, especially catching the attention and interest of the casual surfer or first-time visitor, we have lots of those.
I think the most important thing could be the first introduction line, right now it is --
"WindyChat.com - for discussion about the Windy City and surrounding areas. Introduce yourself. Use General Chat for discussions, observations, and other topics you would like to discuss. Post Restaurant reviews and share information about your favorite places"
As well as all the forum descriptions.
What is going to grab people and make them register and start participating on this site?
I am very confident we have the right technology and platform this time, this forum won't be hobbled in that regard this time ( formerly http://forums.new-eastside.com) , I think right now it's only about making the site more inviting to visitors who first come across the site..
Please let us know if you have any advice thoughts or advice.
