I was just about to post this myself...

Here's a quote -- "Daley said museum opponents "don't want anything. They just want a prairie. We have tennis courts. That's not free and open. We have parks for rollerbladers. We have skateboarders. That's not right, is it? Oh no. You can't have that. We have playgrounds. That shouldn't be there. Parks are for people - especially children."

<< Umm, what? How about the particular children and mothers that would be displaced by this project?>>

"Over the years, there have been only a few examples of the City Council going against the wishes of the local alderman on zoning and development issues."

<<Since Reilly is a junior alderman, perhaps they can roll over him or get him to "compromise".>>
