"Thus far there has been little discussion of what the new museum environment would contain or how it would be functionally and economically better than at Navy Pier, which is the largest tourist site in the Midwest.
While a worthy enterprise, it is not the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Art Institute or Museum of Science and Industry.
One must question why it has made such a spectacle of itself and why anyone should compromise the Burnham Plan for this."
