Southwest to cut 190 flights, 44 at Midway
August 27th, 2008 05:00 AM - Lewis Lazare: The sour economy has begun to impact even Southwest Airlines, the only domestic carrier in recent years to consistently turn a profit. On Tuesday, the carrier announced it is "tweaking" its flight schedule starting Jan. 11, when the airline will chop a total of 190 flights from its nationwide route system, 5.6 percent of the carrier's total daily flights.
