| Parties that cook stages hands on-cooking parties and corporate team building events across the country, but here in Chicago, Parties that Cook brings in award-winning chefs from the highest caliber restaurants and catering companies all over the city, including Girl & the Goat! For this event, aspiring chefs will meet at 6:30 PM at Charlie Baggs Kitchen, located in the Belden Stratford, ready to rock the kitchen. During the first part of the course, guests will learn new cooking techniques that take the guesswork out of cooking for any occasion (all while wearing a super-fly apron). No cooking experience necessary - these experienced and dynamic chefs will teach you everything you need to know! After getting schooled, guests will apply these skills, working in small groups, to prepare the evening's mouthwatering Small Plates menu of Thanksgiving-inspired dishes, made only with the freshest seasonal ingredients. With dishes like sweet potato pancakes with crispy prosciutto and hot crab dip with soft prezels, this isn't your momma's Thanksgiving spread (no turduckens here either). November 15 Menu Endive Leaves with Savory Fig Jam Sweet Potato Pancakes with Crispy Prosciutto and Sour Cream Hot Crab Dip with Soft Pretzel Poppers Mini Apple, Roquefort and Caramelized Onion Pies with Honey Seared Beef Brochettes with Whole Grain Mustard and Garlic Marinade At just about the time when you can't look at the food anymore without drooling, we'll savor the fruits of our labor hot from the oven and enjoy a delicious, gourmet meal cooked by you! Soda and water will be available, but please feel free to bring wine or beer to this BYOB event! A ticket gets you more than new skills and a full stomach. After the event, guests are emailed all the recipes to impress this November, as well as photos taken at the event. Do you have any dietary restrictions? Most of our menus are designed to include a few vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate substitutions. Please contact Parties That Cook in advance of purchasing if you have questions about the menu. Cancellation Policy: TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. You may transfer to another class of equal or lesser value 14 days or more prior to the class. Under 14 days, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another name. |
