 Video shows failed effort to break safe
August 5th, 2008 05:00 AM - A surveillance camera recorded one man's attempt to break into a safe at a Gurnee dollar store early Monday. According
to a statement released late Monday by police, officers responded to a
burglar alarm around 12:43 a.m. at Family Dollar Store, 3521 Grand.
Police report the officers found that someone had entered the building
by cutting through an air-return vent.
